Benefits of Membership (scroll down to join)

We are committed to providing psychoanalytically-oriented professionals and clinicians-in-training opportunities to exchange scholarly and clinical information to enhance their knowledge and skills through continuing education events, networking, funding, mentorship, and consultation.

Program Discounts and CE Credits

PSPP members enjoy discounted program registration fees to many unique and stimulating programs that provide opportunities for learning, connection, and growth at all stages of professional life. This includes PSPP's Fall and Spring Programs, known for highlighting our own local wellsprings of talent, bringing in legendary speakers from around the world, grounding us in analytic basics, and challenging us with leading-edge ideas. Several of our programs also include continuing education credits for psychologists and social workers.

Admission to PSPP Member Brunches

Members have the opportunity to register, at no cost, for our PSPP Brunches - these small, more intimate gatherings, allow people to eat, meet, and learn together. Brunches have long been a PSPP favorite, open to members only, and offer space to share ideas with the local psychoanalytic community as a brunch presenter or to attend and hear what colleagues are up to.

Professional Directory Listing

PSPP members who are licensed mental health providers can create a professional profile page at our website at no additional cost. Profiles are searchable and linked to our Find A Clinician directory.

Access to the PSPP Listserv

PSPP members may subscribe to our listserv, which is an active exchange of referrals, postings about analytically-oriented programs and happenings, and other information relevant to psychoanalysis.

Opportunities to Mentor or Be Mentored

PSPP offers graduate student and early career professional members the opportunity to meet individually, once a month, with local psychodynamic clinicians who serve as their mentors. Clinicians who become mentors have the opportunity to provide support and guidance to clinical psychology and clinical social work graduate students and recent graduates interested in psychoanalytic theory and practice. Scholarships

PSPP offers support and scholarships for graduate students and early career professionals to attend the annual Spring Meeting of the Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology (SPPP, Division 39 of the APA). Available scholarships will be announced each year through our listserv.

Newsletter

Do you like to write or edit and arrange pieces? Please contact us if you are interested in working on the PSPP Newsletter. Traditionally, our newsletter has been published three times a year and  keeps members abreast of information in the field of psychoanalytic psychology both locally and nationally.

Connection and Community

PSPP serves as a local professional home (with individual, family, and sociopolitical dynamics included) for those interested in psychoanalysis. We welcome you to connect with us! You may join as a member, attend events, help shape the field, and be in touch if you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer or in a leadership role.
