Presenter: Dr. Diana Rabinovich

Diana Rabinovich is a practicing psychoanalyst in Buenos Aires. She is professor at the University of Buenos Aires, where she has been the chair and founder of the Department of Psychoanalytical Methodolology. She is also the Director of the Centre d' Hautes Etudes Franco-Argentine, and Founder of the School of the Freudian Field of Venezuela. A leading figure in the Lacanian movement, she organized Jacques Lacan's last lecture (his only public appearance in Latin America), the Caracas Seminar in 1980. Dr. Rabinovich's books include Sexualidad y Significante (1986), El concepto de objecto en la teoria psicoanalitica (1988), Una clinica de la pulsion: las impulsiones (1989), La angustia y el deseo del Otro (1993), Modos logicos del amor de transferencia (1992), La Significacion del Falo (1995), El deseo del psicoanalista: Libertad y determinacion en psicoanalisis (1999).
