A Novel Approach to Understanding the Etiology and Treatment of Panic
Attacks: A Presentation, a Workshop, a Conversation about Paradigms

| Learning Objectives |
- Participants will learn a new, non-biological model for
conceptualizing the etiology of panic attacks.
- Participants will be able to articulate what factors predispose
certain individuals, rather than others, to having repeated panic
attacks which if not treated can lead to Panic Disorder.
- Participants will learn several techniques for assisting clients
with the self-reorganization necessary for the resolution of panic.

Each brunch, including CEU credits, is free for members of
PSPP. Nonmembers may attend the brunches for free, but must pay $25 if
they wish to receive CEU credits for their attendance. Registration in
advance helps us to plan for the refreshments and seating
arrangements. |

Psychologists—2.0 Continuing education credits
will be offered by the Philadelphia Society for Psychoanalytic
Psychology. Upon completion of the workshop evaluation form, a
certificate will be provided. This serves as documentation of attendance
for all participants. Psychologists will have their participation
registered through Division 39. Division 39 is approved by the American
Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for
psychologists. Division 39 maintains responsibility for this program and
its content. For any grievances such as access, confidentiality,

Social Workers—CE credits for licensed social workers have
been applied for. Please call Jay Moses, Ph.D. at 267-254- 0791 prior to
each brunch to confirm that the program has been approved. Please note
that we will be unable to provide social work CE credits for the
February brunch.
